Choosing the Right Kayak Rental for Your Water Adventure

We currently rent 3 types of watercraft. 

1. Paddle Pacwest Clear Kayak

2. Paddle Pacwest Clear SUP (paddle board)

3. Oru Foldable Kayak

NOTE : All rentals come with paddles and life vests.

Which is right for you? 


This mostly depends on your ability to transport the units. If you've got a truck with a big bed or a car with a roof rack, you can rent whatever you'd like. 

If you need something to fit in a smaller car we definitely recommend the Oru Foldable Kayak as it folds easily into a backpack and is only 25 pounds.

Party for 2?

Our Paddle Pacwest Clear Kayaks have two seats and can hold up to 300 pounds. Otherwise you can most definitely rent 2 Oru Kayaks.

How do rentals work?

Paddle Pacwest has a unique process for kayak and paddle board rentals that will hopefully provide a straight forward, enjoyable experience from beginning to end. 

1. Add desired units to your cart. Choose your date(s).

2. Checkout online

3. Read and sign waiver

4. You will then receive a code for our kayak shed just next door to Granny's Cafe and behind Emerald Valley Inn. 

5. Once in the shed, you'll be able to load up with your rentals, life vests, paddles and some merch if you decide to buy some! 

6. At the end of your rental period, return your watercraft and send us a picture of it back in it's spot. 

7. Pending no damage, your $75 Damage Deposit will be returned to you.

  • We have partnered with Granny's Cafe to make your lake adventures as seamless as possible. Pick up your rental in the morning and return it to end your day with every local's favorite ice cream cone. 

  • Yes! Whether you don't have the time, energy or a car that can transport the number of kayaks or paddle boards you want, we can definitely deliver our rentals right to you. 

  • Yes! We provide heavy duty rental grade US Coast Guard approved Type III PFD for your safety. We require users to wear life vests at all times when using our paddle boards or kayaks. 

  • Anyone renting a kayak or paddle board is required to be 18 years or older. 

  • Our rentals are for fresh water only and at this time, we only permit use of them on Lake Crescent or Lake Sutherland.

We really enjoyed the convenience of these folding origami kayaks! There was a slight learning curve unfolding them and putting the first one together, but once I knew what I was doing, I was able to put the second together, by myself, in just a few minutes (there is a QR code linking to videos of assembly and disassembly.) They worked great for everyone ages 9 to 43 varying in weight from 90 to 245lbs. Having them delivered to our door the same day, along with life vests, paddles, extra cushions and even some solar lights for kayaking in the evenings, was one of the best parts! No worries about transporting heavy kayaks or having to return them! I had no trouble folding them back up even though I was told that wasn’t required. We loved exploring beautiful Lake Sutherland this way! They were a big success and working with Paddle Pacwest was easy and enjoyable! Great group! Both kiddos give them “5 stars!”

A canoe and paddle board experience like no other! Paddle PACWest offered see-through paddle boards and canoes for rent. No other vendor that we could find offered the same. Not to mention the SERVICE provided by Paddle PacWest Was delightful and personal. Our three children ages 10 to 17 enjoyed them all day. The see through Canoe and Paddle board offered by Paddle PacWest allowed them to see all the way to the bottom of the crystal clear-waters(Lake Crescent and Lake Sutherland).
